About Me
I was born and raised in the Boston area. My professional background is in financial communications and I pursue my artistic endeavors of painting and writing while enjoying an active family life with my two children and dog, Fenway.
I expressed a strong interest in art and creative writing at an early age with my main focus on drawing and painting. Early art studies included private lessons as well as countless hours of sketching, painting and illustrating. I continued on my artistic path through a graphic design certificate program and attended Massachusetts College of Art.
Over the years, I have experimented with various artistic styles as well as use of mediums. Furniture, glass bottles, brick walls and sheet metal have all been my canvas. I have created murals in homes as well as restaurants, and designed logos, menus and company brochures during my freelance career. My paintings have been sold in galleries, shown locally, and commissioned by several commercial establishments as well as numerous private commissions.
Writing has been a major part of my professional career; however, recently I expanded beyond financial writing, art blogs and Facebook posts and completed a contemporary romance novel and am working on a several others. I am targeting Spring 2012 for the release of my first novel, The Dating Intervention. In addition, a short story titled Daydreams was completed in November 2011, has been entered into several competitions and is available now.
